As Pintler Pets enters a period of transition and restructuring, we have paused new animal intake until further notice. With the support of our incredible shelter partners across Montana, the adoptable animals previously in our care have been safely transferred to other shelters, with many already finding loving homes.
As a result, you may see few or no adoptable pets listed here during this temporary pause. Thank you for your patience and continued support as we work toward the future of Pintler Pets.
At Pintler Pets, we pride ourselves on finding the best possible fit for both the adopter and adoptee. Many pets end up being returned to a shelter due to a misunderstanding, lack of patience, or a feeling of being overwhelmed and sometimes, pets and families are not a good match. In order to prevent these upsetting situations, careful screening is pivotal for success.
Though the questions are thorough and plentiful, they are meant to create the best match possible between parent and pet. In addition to the adoption application, we will call a personal reference and your landlord if you are a residential renter. We do require a vet reference however we will work with you if you are a new pet owner.

Incomplete applications will not be processed. Applications do not guarantee the ability to adopt and Pintler Pets reserves the right to refuse any adoption.
We are currently operating by appointment only and an approved application is required before a visit can be scheduled.
